RDPI Core Matrix

Perfecting potential

We all have unending potential - however good we are, we can, if we want to, get better!

Olympic athletes don't stop training because they won a medal. They continue a rigorous schedule of training so they can continue to improve their results.

This course is special - it uses techniques developed from decades of research and puts them into easy-to-understand techniques to use to take control of our minds and, hence, our future.

Part 1

How our minds work

  • What holds us back - including limiting and negative beliefs
  • Taking control of our self-talk - 'spring cleaning' things that no longer serve us well
  • Learning how habits form and how we can use that to ...
  • Embed new, positive beliefs that will take us forward and help us to achieve the goals we want more easily

Life strategies

  • Health and wellbeing
  • The balance between physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
  • The importance of nutrition and how it can impact our minds
  • Valuing our support networks
  • Introducing the power of default thinking and behaviours and how we can use this information to support ourselves and build resilience

Organising work and managing priorities effectively

  • An development of the Japanese kanban system as a valuable strategy
  • Set and achieve realistic SMART goals and keep an eye on them to make sure you're on track

Part 2

  • The CORE Matrix: brief background and history
  • Your profile: do you recognise yourself?
  • In 'most preferred' groups: what are your natural strengths and what do you bring to a team?
  • In 'mixed style' groups: what are the key points of your profile and how does this influence your potential stress triggers?
  • In 'least preferred' groups: discuss how you would 'bring out the best' in people with this dominant profile and how you would interact with them
  • In 'mixed style' groups: describe to each other the ideal environment to operate with maximum resilience and manage working life
  • Actions
